The Brothers from Virginia
The Clipse are Pusha T and Malice, two brothers from Virginia Beach who grew up blocks from Pharrell and Chad Hugo. They had been writing about the drug trade with a precision that made other street rappers sound like they were guessing. Elektra Records signed them in 1997, then nothing happened for five years.
