MusicDives ("we", "our", "us") operates the website musicdives.com. MusicDives is a platform that offers cinematic deep dives into the lives and music of artists.

• Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google or register with email and password.
• Usage data — which episodes you have viewed, your progress, and quiz results, so we can save your journey.
• Analytics data — anonymised information about how you navigate the site (pages visited, clicks, session duration) to help us improve the product.
• Technical data — your IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure.

We do not collect payment information. MusicDives is currently free to use.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the MusicDives service
• Save your viewing progress and episode history
• Send you important updates about the service (no marketing emails without consent)
• Analyse how the platform is used in order to improve it
• Prevent abuse and ensure the security of the platform

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data is stored securely on Supabase servers. See supabase.com/privacy.

• PostHog — we use PostHog for product analytics. Data is stored on EU servers and anonymised where possible. See posthog.com/privacy.

MusicDives uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to collect anonymised analytics data. By using our site you consent to the use of these cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to stay logged in.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.
